Adult Mental Health
The counsellor for adults provides service to individuals and groups under the auspices of the Interior Health Authority ( Mental Health and Addictions).
The Adult Counsellor holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and has specific training in addressing the therapeutic needs of adults dealing with issues of substance abuse and those experiencing serious, long-term mental illness and disability, acute, episodic serious mental illness . She has skills in assessment, counselling, group work, and crisis management.
The Adult Counsellor works as a team member in this small agency, providing support and education to the community.
